19th C English Inlaid Side Chairs

Detailed inlay work distinguishes this set of 19th C English side chairs.  The carved, pierced back is in the shape of the tail of a peacock which is heavily decorated.  Inlay of satinwood, fruitwood and bone can all be found in the decoration.  The flowing designs found on these chairs are in the Adams style, with feathering swirls and flowers.  There are bellflowers in inlaid bone on the knees of the two front legs, and string inlay detailing the entire silhouette. Of graceful form, they can be easily shipped.
