	French Art Nouveau Figural Inkwell Antiques: Inkwells, Desktop
	French Art Nouveau Figural Inkwell. This alluring inkwell depicts a seated woman in a provocative pose with a scant cloth draped over her elegantly sculptured body. There is a set-in glass well on each side. Heavy and made of gilted bronze. The gilt finish is worn to a rich brown bronze in all the right places. The overall effect of a sensuous or nude womanly figure is the element of all fine old Art Nouveau pieces. Art Nouveau is an international style of decoration and architecture which developed in the 1880s and 90s in France and is still very popular today.
