KPM Porcelain Egg Cups, Platter Hens And Rooster

Lovely KPM porcelain masterpiece consisting of a platter and four egg cups. The porcelain platter and cups have a soft very fine cream ground trimmed in gold enameling in a shapely flowing and naturalistic design. The central hand painted motif of the platter is of a rooster watching over the hens and a nest full of eggs. The colors are natural, rich and vivid. The egg cups sit right on the platter. Each of the pieces is marked with the KPM red crown and a blue underglaze scepter. Can you imagine serving breakfast for two with an arrangement of toast, eggs in the egg cups, linen napkins – oh that’s opulence! Excellent condition and a rare find!

Measurments: The platter is 13 5/8” in diameter and the cups are 2 3/8”h with the top opening 2” in diameter.
