Rare elegant vintage Limoges plates with a huge acid gold border, etched with rich and elaborate decorative bands, and surrounding a simple gold trimmed band of cobalt blue. These large dinner sized plates are in perfect condition. They cannot possibly have been used; so they are as new for you whilst likely dating from 1930's or 1940's. We did not test the gold, but it is so brilliant we believe it is must be 24 carat. The solid white center provides a modicum of protection against knife and fork scratches on the gold and enamel portions of the plates. Of course, these are so superb you might simply want to use them as under plates to preserve them entirely. Without doubt, these plates will bring such dazzle to your table as to cast a spell upon all at your table.
