Set in a 14K white gold hexagonal frame, this beautiful antique shell cameo is carved in the shape of a woman’s portrait. The woman, shown in profile, is wearing a diamond pendant on a necklace. The piece is delicately carved and the woman’s hair in particular shows the artist’s attention to detail. A rose “frame” is carved around the outside edge of the shell to add character and the surround the portrait. The piece is both a pin and a pendant allowing the wearer great flexibility. The piece measures 2” in height by 1 11/16” in width. Circa: 1900.
