	1775 French School Miniature Portrait Louis XVI Lady Ivory Fine Art: Miniature Portrait
	Superb circa 1775 French School Miniature portrait of a Lady who looks like she stepped out of the Court of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. Portrait is approx. 1 1/2 by 2inches and framed in a metal with scrolling foliate decoration frame which is approx. 3 by 4 inches. She wears a pink dress with white gauze ruff, her powdered hair dressed high beneath a pouf of white lace trimmed with pink rose and foliage....a black feather and pearls. The French Miniature market is on fire...commanding some of the highest prices . These 18th C and finely painted pieces are quite sought after. Due to construction, I have not removed them for inspection. on ivory. I see no chips or cracks to the surface and the paint is quite strong
