17th Century Baroque Silver & Gold Metal Embroidered Pillow

A 17th century Baroque fragment worked in silver and gold metal thread embroidered with green and red silk highlights. The ground now only shows the heavy blue linen foundation, with the red silk velvet having worn completely away. This depicts symmetrical ogival "cell" heart shapes with stylized flowers with leather centers. Edged in the same period red silk and metal fringe trim on 18th century rich blue silk velvet. Finished with a rare early 18th century fringe, insert is pure down! Wear is consistent with age.
