	1800 German Miniature Oil Portrait Ivory Prince Black Eagle Fine Art: Miniature Portrait
	Superb Minature German oil painting. Approx. 1 1/2 by 2 inches and framed in a gilt metal locket type framed with front and back glazing. Portrait is quite fabulous. Grey hair with blue eyes. Wearing a dark blue jacket with red collar and white shirt with foullard. Jacket is double breasted. On the right of his jacket crest of the Order of the Black Eagle. Back is marked as German School ca: 1800 Prussian Prince wearing order of Black Eagle. I cannot see a signature though signed by a very competent hand. I see no chips or cracks and strong color for a portrait over 200 years old. Due to construction I have not removed portrait for examination
