1820 Austrian Military Officer Miniature Portrait On Ivory

Miniature is approx. 2 by 2 1/2 inches and framed in wood with gold gilt and red washed frame is approx. 3 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches.

Handsome looking Officer with curled grey hair . He wears a white coatee with red collar and facings, a frilled chemise and black stock. At his neck is an interesting white bow which could perhaps indicate his Regiment or his rank.

Brown background popular with the Austria and Germany artists.

Good condition with strong color and no seen chips or cracks
