Gorgeous 1880's Victorian Watered Silk Visiting Jacket. I do love the way the pattern of this silk is used. A wonderful period piece that can also be worn today. **Style features: Back is to the waist with high waistband. The waistband then slips under the front extended panels and hooks shut. Sort of like a Mantle or cloak. Sleeves are shaped style and roomy...they were meant to accommodate a top underneath. Deep front neckline....can be closed with ornamental pin. **The ivory silk collar is pleated and trimmed with variegated black and white silk trim. It has an absolutely gorgeous Floral motif applique. ** Please notice the stunning pattern of the watered silk, they way it was pieced together...it is medium weight and in beautiful condition. C O N D I T I O N: Excellent condition...presents beautifully. The lining had some minor damage which has been repaired. See Photo.
