18th C Leopard Agate Ormolu Etui Necessaire Complete

Antique 18th C Leopard Agate Etui Necessaire with all 7 implements....complete. Approx. 1 1/2 by 4 inches with the most amazing agate in a dark brown with bits of black, tan and beige. Beautifully embellished in ormolu scroll work and mounts and lid hanger as a chatelaine. Push button latch in good working condition reveals a totally outfitted interior. All 7 implements.

2 page aide memoire with gilt hinge

gilt pencil case

snuff spoon

gilt pen knife

stiletto

steel retractable scissors with gilt

steel tweezers with file with gilt hinge

I am assuming they are original as they all fit so nicely and have a common look.

Color of agate is quite rare and add in condition and being complete and this is a gem.

Others list this as between 1730 and 1750. I think French.

Agate and Ormolu in wonderful condition. I see no cracks or chips to the agate.
