	A unique 18th century French metal applique that was once gold and now has tarnished to a gunmetal darkness. The oblong loops have a silk pink under lining with solid round half metal balls that are encircled with a coil wire all surrounded by branches. The applique was hand couched/stitched on strawberry red silk velvet, edged with an antique French gold metallic serpentine trim, finished with a rare 18th century metal fringe trim. Condition: Some of the metal threads on the applique have lifted due to age.
