Here is an exquisitely handcrafted chest of drawers made from solid walnut during the reign of Louis XV by the middle part of the 18th century and originally coming from Provence, commonly called “Commode Sauteuse” by the French, consisting of a crossbow shaped top sitting upon a slightly scrolled façade providing 2 large drawers mounted with their original brass handles supported by graceful cabriole legs on escargot feet. This piece does have several scratches and dents here and there due to the age, it is coming from an individual whom really took good care of it. This item is for sale as is. Circa date 1750. Dimensions 34 ½”high/ 45”wide/ 26 ¾”deep.
