18th Century Spanish Renaissance Style Painted Bed

Here is a splendid Bed made from lime tree by the middle part of the 18th century during the reign of Fernando VI. This sumptuous piece of furniture features a tall arched headboard centering a detailed cartouche depicting heraldic shield highlighted with a woman’s face flanked by acanthus pattern and in between tapered barley twisted posts mounted with finials. The open footboard is boast also the same intricate embellishment and is connected to the headboard thanks to straight side rails. This bed can fit a double mattress (54 x 74). This piece is in overall good condition and for sale as is.
