	19th Century Childs French Processional Crown/circlet With Cross Antiques: Decorative Arts
	A charming late 19th century French child’s processional crown/circlet often worn for religious parades such as Easter or Christmas. Crowns/circlets are also often used as symbols of religious status or respect. This piece being called a circlet, which is a crown, but has no arches or a cap, also called an internal covering. The sheild or face has light engraving that micmics the shape of the crown. In the center is a white/clear stone surrounded by the smallest of crowns and at the peak is a cross. This circlet is only a half circle, it has two holes where a band might have been to go around the head. In good/excellent condition with just the right patina.
