19th Century French Empire Period Semainier

A stunning and elegant semainier made at the beginning of the 19th century boasting a splendid mahogany veneer and topped by its original carerra marble surrounded by a brass gallery. The façade flanked by bronze ormolus, features a total of 6 drawers, all mounted with their original bronze escutcheons. The piece is in overall good condition; some minor restoration work is necessary on the veneer here and there but nothing obvious (the restoration work is included in the price.). Circa date 1810.
