A tall and splendid gilded step-up mirror made by the half of the 19th century featuring an impressive pierced carved cartouche depicting a bird standing upon the classical Louis XVI motifs as the quiver of arrows and the torch; all surrounded by a detailed floral wreath flanked by pinecone-shaped finials and standing upon the elaborately accented frame surrounding the original beveled mirror. Note some dark spots here and there due to the age. This piece is in overall good condition; a few minor chips can be seen but our team of cabinetmaker at no extra charge can easily restore those. Circa date 1850. Dimensions 70 ½”high/ 35 ¾”wide.This item is currently located in France.
