19th Century French Napoleon III Period Tabernacle

This is a rare and handsome Tabernacle made by the end of the reign of Napoleon III and consisting of a splendid and intricately cast bronze façade boasting an elaborate embellishment depicting foliate, acanthus and floral patterns surrounded the Moorish arches and central door featuring a detailed representation of the Virgin Marie and baby Jesus revealing a storage compartment made surrounded by brass panels. This piece is in original condition and for sale as is. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 22”high/ 16”wide/ 14”deep.
