		This is a pretty prayer chair made from solid oak by the end of the 19th century with an intricate embellishment on the seatback depicting a cross, surrounded by foliate and acanthus leaves. The yellowish velvet is estimated to be from the middle part of the 20th century, it is in fair condition and would need to be replaced. Circa date 1890. Dimensions 35”high/ 8”seat height/ 18”wide/ 16”deep.
