1930's Hyacinth Blue Vintage Gown with Capelet. Silk organza with large flounces cascading at the hem......with matching slip. **Low V neck in front, seam under bust and clean fall to the Ruffled hemline. The back is a more plunging V. The hemline in the front is higher........it drapes slightly towards the back. The fabric is semi sheer silk organza....this has more body than chiffon which holds the flounces shape better. The dress snaps up the side. There is a matching bias cut acetate slip. **The Capelet is a simple cape style cut, with a snap in the front. It is double layered and has the deep ruffles around the hem. C O N D I T I O N: Overall very good condition. If you are clever or have a good seamstress they can go over this and set the few minor issues right, or greatly minimize. There are some holes...we picture the worst in the front on the lower 2 ruffles. This sort of shows but as it is the ruffle and not a fitted part it is sort of hidden. There are a few other tiny holes in the dress, but nothing like the above. The very front of the bodice right at the bust in the center has subtle hint of issue, but with slip under it is greatly minimized....this may not even bother you. There is the barest.......and I mean barest.....hint of underarm discoloring only under one, and at the very top. I do not think this shows at all. The blue has a hint of variation.....I think this again is not really a detraction and it is only around the double layer ruffle. It actually looks great. S I Z E: XSmall. Length: 56", bust area: 32-33", waist 22-23", hip 32-33". "One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art." Oscar Wilde (1854-1900), English author, playwright.
