50s Hand Beaded Dress * Sequins, Rhinestones, Pearls

Dazzling vintage nearly mini Party Dress from the 1960's.  Couture quality, and for sure custom made.  The silk organdy shimmers beautifully with hand beading, set rhinestones, pearls and iridescent sequins.   Boutique Boutyke Forest Hills Label.  I could find no information about this boutique at all.  

**The hem is adorned with diamond shapes outlined in pearls, these are filled with extra large iridescent sequins.  The body of the dress has tiny set  pearls, rhinestones and sequins.  There are diamond shapes also on the body of the dress created with beads and pearls.  They are filled with sequins and rhinestones.  The neck is detailed with beads and rhinestones as is the area under the bust. 

**Creamy white (not stark white...but a bit off) silk organdy.  Slightly empire waist...very graceful where it is higher in the front and waist length in the back.  Flared skirt.  Jewel neckline.  The body of the dress is a double layer of the sheer silk organdy.  This creates a sturdy fabric for the ornamentation.

**It is fully lined, and the skirt has a double faced underskirt with nylon horsehair around the hem.  It zips up the back with a metal zipper. 

C O N D I T I O N:  Excellent condition.  The fabric is sturdy.  The dress is completely wearable.  There might be a tiny bit of bead or jewel loss...but believe me it is not noticeable.  It would benefit from a visit to the cleaners as there is some age yellowing at the hem and around edges.  In truth, it probably does not really show...especially at night.  So if cleaning is a problem, it could be worn as seen.
