At Malleries our goal is to maintain the highest quality standards in the items our shop owners sell as well as how they are represented. Our commitment to quality provides our shop owners with a true venue to sell their high end items, and unlike other malls we will not waiver in our pledge to you or our customers!
Our monitors regularly scan Malleries to insure the level of quality remains the same in every single store. The same standards will apply to all shop owners. If an item does not meet the the standards of quality we have set forth and outlined below we will
notify the shop owner via email stating the problem and the item will be placed in the back room. The shop owner is always given the opportunity to correct the listing and once the item is placed back in the shop it will be re-evaluated.
It is essential that we continue to be associated with quality merchandise as well as good business ethics. All shop owners are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to maintain a level of trust which will insure each shop with a constant flow of repeat customers. If we stay united in our practice of how and what we sell, we will ultimately achieve our goal and that is to stand out above the rest!

Sterling Silver has long been valued as a precious metal and used in currency, ornaments and jewelry, as well as utensils. It is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver (minimum fineness is 925) and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. Silverplate is Base metal, usually nickel silver or brass coated with pure silver by electroplating. If a piece of silver is large and heavy, with ornate designs or engraving, it could be an 18th century or early 19th century piece. It may be sterling silver, but it is more likely to be an example of Victorian silver plate. Victorian silver plate was made from either copper or a white metal called Britannia, which was electrically coated with a thin layer of silver. Silverplate was introduced in 1840.
