Antique Bow Front Vitrine

An antique Vitrine with a bow front. From the art nouveau era it is a beautiful French style but I firmly believe that it was American made. The vitrine is made of of a wonderful rich brown mahogany and sits on three legs with a shelf at the bottom, it has a real bold bow front and one door that opens to reveal a mirror back with three glass display shelves, when you look at the inside you get the allusion that it is a completely round cabinet and not a bow front at all, that’s a great allusion

It is hand painted with a central portrait of a wing cherub deep in thought and on either side of that you have full vines, they are just naturalistic and flowing with a good color, on the facing molding under that you have more floral hand painting the doors and the moldings are all applied guilt brass and there are three different kinds of beautiful moldings on the door,of this cabinet as well as gilt brass mounts on the central column where the doors open and close the glass is all good and the surface is rich and lustrous and appears to be totally original and has a wonderful deep rich finish
