Antique Butter Churn Old Red Paint

Fine Antique Butter Churn in Old Red Paint from 19c New England. Interesting wooden lapped bands, shaker style with tacks. Has features far different from other primitive churns, and a 4 inch long sliding wood collar on dasher that seals off the hole in the lid. The original matching old long handle wooden butter ladle hangs down the side from the top edge. Has minor old worm holes on the underneath of the bottom banding only, unnoticeable from above, and an old riveted repair to one lap of the upper banding. A real beauty.
