This ornate red gold filled enamel antique chatelaine is hinged in the middle. Two separate cobalt blue enamel ovals are set in the piece. On each oval, a bird, flowers and sheets of music are depicted. Although the pattern is similar between the two, each one is distinctly different from the other. Pierced openwork filigree surrounds the enamel ovals. The piece measures 4” in length and 1 1/2" in width. Circa: 1860
