Antique Figural Brass Thermometer

Circa 1900.  Handsome solid cast brass thermometer in the form of a young boy in Elizabethan dress.  Very nicely detailed with a beautiful original patina and dual scale ( Fahrenheit and Celsius) mercury thermometer. The ornate base has a floral motif with faces in the center of each side. The boy is armed with a sword and is holding a pennant.  The top of the pennant is slightly curved and is topped with a star. The thermometer is in good working order.  14" tall x 4" square base.  Price $450.
