	Elegant French bronze fireplace screen, circa 1880. Breathtaking and aesthetically charming both open and closed with its Rococo base, simplified framework and complementing patina, this screen is accented with figural mask relief work crowning the center top and beautiful open work to the nine folds. Each blade is comprised of a repeating pattern of lyres and stars and has a greenish cast patina that blends well with the brighter brass framework, making for a wonderful display. Measurements: 25 1/2 height. Fully opened measures 40 across, the base measures 12. Excellent condition throughout, shuts tightly and secures with a latch on each side.
