Charming Antique Gien Brass Mounted Faience Centerpiece c1875. Hand painted in earth tones and blue on a white ground in a Moroccan pattern, this faience center bowl rests atop a circular brass mount with four decorative foliate feet. The sides of the bowl are fitted with two ornate handles. A lively beautiful piece, condition is very good to excellent. Minor signs of use, maybe a hint of a hairline or two, a bit of minor crazing; but not clear at all. Perhaps future hairlines in the making? Clearly marked with the Gien 1875 mark, a are piece from a renowned French manufactory.
