Antique Nautical Ship Diorama Yacht Corsair

Here is an incredible ship diorama of the Corsair.  It is in a large walnut framed shadow box with inner gold molding.  The interior back drop is oil painted canvas - it is masterfully done with what appears to be the New York Harbor with buildings and a fort with the American flag flying above.  The steam yacht Corsair is sailing on molded blue water.  The yacht has a fine carved figurehead, wrapped sails, cut out paper figures, two life boats and two masts each flying pennants, one with the name of the yacht and the other for the New York Yacht Club.  The Corsair was owned by millionaire J P Morgan and was built at the height of the yachting craze in 1899.  This diorama was made around that same time period.  The diorama is in very good condition.  It is of masterpiece quality and of one of the most famous American Yachts.  It measures 29" h x 36 1/2"w x 6" deep.
