	Antique Porcelain Figurine Cherubs & Flowers Volkstedt Porcelain, Pottery: Porcelain
	A very fine porcelain figurnine of Cherubs & Flowers, superior quality and very much reminiscent of Meissen - if it wasn’t marked with the mark for Volkstedt I would be very confused. The sculpture is in impeccable condition and it is a darling little subject of two cherubs or putto. One it putting flowers in the other ones hair. As I scrutinize this sculpture further I see that there is probably one or two little flowers missing where the cherub’s right hand is putting flower on the other ones head. It could be that the flower just ends there and that it isn’t damaged at all – it is very hard to tell there really aren’t any rough edges. Overall the sculpture is in wonderful condition with a heavy gold gilt border around the base. The blue under glazed mark is for oldest Volkstedt porcelain factory and VEB Oldest Volkstedt porcelain Factory 1915 – present. Measurements: 6 5/8”h x 5”w x 3 5/8” deep.
