An Antique French, Iron Painted Arched Window Gate from Provence -  Good Antique Condition Commensurate with Age – Chipping to Paint and Rusting to Iron – 1850 or Older

This versatile antique French Provencal window gate was once part of a wooden shuttered window gate/grill for security and protection from the elements.  The shutter and frame have been removed at some point in its history, leaving this beautifully cast iron curved gate.  Today they are used as an architectural wall hanging, or if you add a mirror to the back, as an outdoor or indoor mirror, or once again, as a decorative window gate anywhere in the home.  This charming French gate will add a touch of Provence to any area.
