Antique Russian Icon Image Of Christ Pantocrator 18c

An antique hand painted Russian Icon using egg tempera on board believed to be from the 19th Century. The icon depicts Christ Pantocrator our Saviour in a recessed center with gold background surrounded by a black circle with Seraphim or angels. The large red writing at Christ's shoulder length reads LORD ALMIGHTY. The IC XC reads Jesus Christ. A four point star painted in a deep red. The perimeters of the icon in painted in a deep green.  In the corners are the Four Evangelists : Matthew, Mark, Luke and John the Evangelist.

Condition: The board is aprox 1" in thickness and is slightly curved. Support boards on the back, common to the earlier icons, are missing. As is common of icons this age, and a regular aspect of icon preservation- it appears to have been varnished. Inpainting noted throughout.
