Antique Tortoise Shell Book bible or prayer book. Closes tightly with an 18K gold clasp in the front, 1927. Both front and back panels have a beautiful, highly polished cognac and chocolate shell. The book has a curved spine and gold-edged pages. Interior of the front cover is a pumpkin moire silk. Condition is excellent with the pages of the prayer book intact and firmly attached, some foxing, no chips or bug bites or losses at all on the panels of the fine antique tortoise shell. Measurements are 5" by 4"
