Art Nouveau Paris Salon Candelabra Figural Torchere

Fascinating Lady! Late 19th Century very rare Life size, elegant and sophisticated Paris salon torchere. It is grand in size measuring approximately 7’ 10” high overall sitting on the original pedistal, with a base diameter of 19 5/8” (the base itself is 23”h).The full body figure including the candelabra is about 6’ tall. She is holding a twelve branch candelabra. The shades on the candelabra are acid etched with a free flowing floral design .The Fine spelter casting is so highly detailed with a good patina that is so rich & mellow it looks like bronze. I hope you can see the wonderful fluid movement in her body, so graceful is the beautiful female figure .The mounted brass plaque on the front of the base reads “Fourment Houillea Co Val D. Osne.” The woman is very elegant and the casting is superb! This lamp is just so impressive, to find a lamp like this is truly a thing of the past!
