Authentic Louis Vuitton Sac De Nuit MM Ostrich Leather

Available for your consideration is a stunning, authentic, extremely rare, limited edition, highly coveted Louis Vuitton Sac De Nuit MM bag.  The bag was first presented as part of Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2004 runway collection to coincide with Vuitton’s 150th anniversary.  The Sac De Nuit presents a gorgeous burst of nostalgia, including remarkable use of elements from the first series of luggage that Louis Vuitton produced in 1854.  In 2004, the ostrich-trimmed Sac De Nuit MM bag retailed for $3,850.00.

This extraordinary bag was crafted in France of grey Toile Trianon canvas and lilac ostrich leather with varnished brass hardware.  Toile Trianon canvas is what was used on trunks.  Hence, it is a sturdy, tough and very durable material, which ensures that this bag will serve you well for quite sometime.  On the Louis Vuitton Sac De Nuit bags, varnished brass hardware on the stud heads, buckles and edges, has replaced the golden hardware typically found on Louis Vuitton bags. This touch, more than anything, gives the image of a trunk maker.  The front of the bag is adorned with a lilac-colored, ostrich label.  Embossed on the label is “Louis Vuitton Inventeur.”   The brass tacks and the leather label, reminiscent of an owners label, conjure up images of antique travel bags with brass tacks punched in along the edges and the owner’s name included on a plaque.

The interior of the Sac De Nuit gives emphasis to another distinct image of Louis Vuitton’s trunk maker roots.  The gorgeous, cotton and polyester mix lining presents lilac-colored stripes on an ivory background, as inspired from the early trunk beds.  The interior includes a patch pocket that is perfect for easy access to your cellular phone, sunglasses and other essentials.  The front of the pocket is printed with the information, "Sac de Nuit, Depose en France et a l'etranger, Louis Vuitton Inventeur, 101, Champs Elysees, Paris".

This exceedingly rare bag is in positively excellent, very gently pre-worn condition.  It measures approximately 7” high x 12.5” wide x 6” deep.  The twin handles have a fall length of approximately 5.5”.  At each bottom corner of the Louis Vuitton Sac De Nuit bags is a buckle and strap. This allows you to undo them for storage, flattening the bag out for minimum space and maximum protection.  The bottom of the bag has two protection feet for added durability.  Access into the bag is through a double zippered frame top opening.  The date code is SR0054.
