A fine 19th century figural cold painted Vienna bronze sculpture atop a green onyx base or plinth of rectangular form. The sculpture depicts an Arab man in Islamic prayer and prostration kneeling on a geometrically designed rug, called a prayer rug or sajada. The bronze sculpture is unsigned but appears to be by Franz Bergmann. Condition: No damage to the bronze or loss of paint, just a minor small chip to the top corner of the onyx . Measurements: Height 4", onyx base measures 5 3/4" x 3" x 1".
