Classical 19th Century Astral /Solar Lamp. Originally Fluid burning, now fitted for electricity. This is a beautiful example of early lighting in America. The heavy & ornate foliate pattern bronze column sits on a double step black marble base .The black marble has stunning pale gold veining. The floral plate & molding are gilt bronze. The whole color combination is really terrific The shade is frosted with deep flowing florals & a clear ruffled top .This lamp is in excellent condition. Made in the 1st quarter of the 19th Century & measuring 24” high over all .13 ½” high from base to top of shade holder.5” square base.9”shade height.5” diameter of shade base.
