Blue Willow Tureen Bow

A rare find indeed! A super nice small sauce tureen with cover ,ladle & under plate .Blue Willow also known as Blue Canton & resembling Staffordshire with its blue decorated Lions head finial & handles. This set has the blue circle/arrow mark for Bow Porcelain Factory established in 1740, one of the earliest British Porcelain Houses. This set is very nice indeed ,super stylish with a tremendous amount of blue & white decoration .The condition is good ,having only the amount of staining that you would expect from an 18th century household utility item. All the pieces are marked except the ladle which only has a blue smudge mark & has a slightly different pattern , but never the less this group has been together for a very long time , So what I’m trying to say is that the ladle may or may not be original to the tureen , but it doesn’t matter !The under plate measures 8 3/8” x 6 1/8” .The tureen measures 6”x4” without handles & 3 ½” high not including the finial.
