Brilliant 17th French Or Italian Silk Bizarre Lavender Pillow

A lavender sachet made from a rare c.1680 fragment of silk bizarre with an orange silk ground with silk threads of yellow, blue and silver metallic. Edged with an equally rare 18th century galon of woven silk and silver metallic threads, finished with metallic fringe trim. Backed with antique French royal blue silk velvet.

Condition: Some loose threads as shown, wear consistent with age.
