c 1900 Camisole with the perfect period details. There is something both naughty and demure about Victorian Lingerie. Women love wearing and collecting these camisoles. This is one of the best ones we have had in a long time. Great size. You cannot find anything like these today. **Fine white cotton batiste. Rows of dainty lace, a lacy ruffle around the armholes and neck. There are tiny pin tucks down the front, hem stitching, french seams and other fine details. Original pink silk ribbons drawn through the lace. They are used to adjust the fit on top and in the back. There is a draw string at the waist to adjust this fit. It buttons in back. **It has a label which reads....Homemade Underwear! Which translates to very finely made. C O N D I T I O N: Excellent condition. It is freshly cleaned and pressed. Completely sturdy and wearable. There was an old iron on tape on the body which we removed. It left a subtle mark (white) which is truly not noticeable unless you look for it. There is a very tiny 1/4" repair right where this old tape was. The pink ribbons are original, and hence need to be treated with care. S I Z E: Flexible size as it has draw strings and is quite blousy....PLEASE EMAIL WITH YOUR SIZE QUESTIONS. Length is 18"...14" to waist area. Bust area: 34-37", waist area adjustable, armhole is 16". When we give the bust and waist measurements, please bear in mind that we are basing this on using the waist and back draw ribbons. |
