C 1909 Car * Motoring Alpaca Blanket * Motoluxe Rug

Authentic luxurious Antique Alpaca Automobile Throw or Blanket.   It dates to c1909.  This was made for the Automobile  or Motoring during the early part of the 20th century.  It was called the Motoluxe Rug.  I love antique automobiles and all the romance that surrounds their early history.  I also love lost bits of luxury such as this.  If you collect antique or vintage car items, or know someone who does....this is NOT TO BE MISSED!  It was found in a wealthy New England estate's attic.  Even that is romantic! 

**This Alpaca throw or blanket is double sided.  Alpaca was used as it is incredibly soft and light...and warm.  It was the ultimate in luxury then, and still is.  One side done with a variegated Alpaca, the reverse side is brown Alpaca.    It has its original brass loops and ties to wrap around the wearer.
