Cast Wall Fountain with Lion Head Spout and Putti

This is a charming cast fountain made from two different crushed stones mixed with cement. It is already fully plumbed, so all you need to do is connect a motor and add water. Aged –Very Good Condition – Minor Rubs - 21st C.

This French wall fountain features a shaped cartouche with volutes on either side, an arched cornice and rusticated central field.  Beneath the cornice is a lion’s mask for the spout, beneath a stylized shell .  The central field contains two draped relief putti holding a stylized shell.  Beneath this, is a large basin with a breakfront, lobed center profile and rectangular profiles on either side supported by double volutes.   All this rests upon a volute pedestal.

This charming and classical style fountain can be used indoors or outside against a wall.  It could also be used as a sink inside or out.
