Chippendale Chairs Set Of 6

A super nice set of six Chippendale chairs .These chairs date from the 19th century ,they are completely hand made , mortis & tenon construction along with dovetailed stretcher .These chairs are so well made. Carved of mahogany & having a very rich original surface patina.The seats are the most comfortable fit, being very wide to accommodate a larger person. These chairs never had springs ,so therefore a clear indication of dating from the 19th century. The ribbon backs are highly detailed & a few of the chairs have old repairs to the rails where the ribbon back slats connect to the outer edge of the chair. The forest green leather with brass tacks , also in good & presentable condition .I cant stress enough about the superior quality of the chairs .I believe they are American or Irish .Two arm chairs & four side chairs.
