Chippendale China Cabinet

Chippendale China Closet. This is a grand and extravagant 18th century china cabinet. In a elaborate Chippendale design.The wood is mahogany in a very rich and lustrous surface patina, it is so elegantly carved and I am so sure that this is one of a kind. It has glass sides, and glass doors. Three moveable shelves on the interior & as I said the carving is spectacular. Well thought out and defined. I believe the china cabinet top sits on a base that may have been custom made for it a very long time ago. It looks like the base and china closet top have been together quite a while. The base is also hand made with exactly the same form, carving, and color. As the top of the cabinet this is just my suspicion I am not 100 % sure it could be original but I just have the feeling it is an associated base, anyway it is quite stupendous and very unique. My feeling is that it would be so great to have a mirror back put into the cabinet with glass shelves that would make it truly spectacular. it’s a nice small size actually
