Christian Dior Fuchsia Mohair Vintage Style Jacket Fr 36 Galliano

A striking, beautifully tailored and sculpted jacket by Christian Dior. Fashioned from fuchsia mohair wool, and fully lined in a matching colour silk. The jacket was designed whilst John Galliano was chief designer of the Dior maison, and his styling is very much apparent in the details of this suit. The silhouette of the jacket bears a sense of the original vintage "New Look" era styling, with it's fitted feminine waist and molded hips which accentuate the waistline. It's decorated with a front row of silk chord buttons that fasten the jacket. A similar jacket if bought new from Dior would retail in excess of $2,500. It looks fabulous worn with separates as a statement piece, dressed up or casually. It can be worn as office or day wear- paired with sleek trousers or simple skirts, for a modern easy-To-wear look, and also dressed up for formal occasions such as weddings. Excellent condition.
