	A Very Beautiful Derby Landscape Shell Dish, excellently painted and gilt, with a central depiction of a View " On the Dove"as written on the reverse. The gilt borders are in the popular 'Arabesque' patterns of the early 19th century, . They reserve a central panel with a landscape scene applied in enameled paint, in the style of Jockey Hill, the head landscape painter at Derby around 1800. Marked with the Iron-red Crown over the 'D' with crossed battons,with red script scene name of scene on reverse, and in the style and form of Derby landscape plates of the period, as repeatedly shown in 'Derby Porcelain' by John Twitchett. Excellent antique condition, with no visible chips, cracks, or restoration. Very little wear to the gilding, and no noticeable wear to the painting.
