Very elegant 1950's Chiffon Evening Gown with beaded over-top...made for a New York Socialite. Yards and yards fine silk chiffon in the most glorious shade of red. Spectacular year round and for so many special occasions. **The gown is part of a collection of evening gowns we acquired directly from the original owner. Most are custom creations and designs and Couture Quality (hand or fine details). She had the most elegant taste, loved the flowing Goddess style gowns, and was quite tiny. So if you are a size 2 or even less...this should make your day. You have a chance to acquire a completely original Breathtaking evening gown. One more beautiful than the next. ENJOY. ABOUT THIS GOWN **The bodice is fitted with a ruched cumberbun detail at the waist. YARDS AND YARDS of softly gathered chiffon skirt float down to the floor from the waist. The skirt features a red crepe underskirt which is also quite full. It zips up the back with a metal zipper. The straps are the teeniest hint of chiffon cording. ** The beaded top is the coup de grace for this Evening gown. It is tuille that features clear cranberry beading. It is accented with large clear Scarlet tear drop faceted beads. It snaps in the back, is sleeveless. C O N D I T I O N: Gown is in overall excellent condition. Minor wear to chiffon to the straps in very small sections, and a tiny bit of wear to edge right under arm (we have reinforced this) THE BEADED TOP will need some restoration work. S I Z E: X-Small.
