One of Fortunys' early 20th century patterns, a panel of tightly woven twill with a ground of richly colored ochre, the pattern of foliage and fronds in forest green. Edged with its original border, lined inside with thermal lining, backed with a cream-colored cotton lining and has a case pocket for hanging. This pattern name is unknown but can be seen on page 148 of the book Mariano Fortuny by Marsilio, which dates the pattern from 1907 to 1910. The Fortuny stamp was found when this hanging was professionally relined. The stamp is short for "Societa Anonima Fortuny", please notice a V was used in place of a U in Fortunys' name, signifying an early Fortuny. Condition: Excellent condition, clean and ready for hanging.
