This is an unusually large mid-20th c. American designer credenza/sideboard in the style of James Mont. The ebonized solid and veneer walnut has been further enhanced by highly detailed solid brass hardware which is indicative of the level of care and detail used in the fabrication of this credenza. One side of the credenza has a silverware drawer extending the length of of the side (41") and below displays a shelf; the right side has a single shelf. The photos show the piece in its original as-found condition; the finish has now been restored. The credenza is very reasonably priced. It would be a great focal point for an entrance hall or dining room--even in the family room as a perfect resting spot for a large screen TV. Thanks for looking.
