	Edwardian C1900 Faux Reptile Handbag * Marcasite Initial Vintage Clothing: Purses, Hats, Shoes
	Unique Edwardian Embossed Faux Reptile Leather handbag. Marcasite Initial "L" surrounded by green enamel frame adorns the front tab. I really fell in love with this beautiful antique handbag. It has a sleeve for the hand in the back. The Faux reptile design is really beautiful. The X fine leather was embossed with a texture and the reptile pattern was artfully added to this. It has a lovely soft sheen to it. The frame is metal but covered in the Faux reptile. Snap clasp is brass. The inside features a pocket, snap change purse suspended in the center. It is silk satin. Someone sewed brown satin cording to act as strap...it can easily be cut out. C O N D I T I O N: Overall Excellent gently used condition. Brass clasp has wear. The lining has stains, but is in surprisingly good condition. Shows age. It had the brown cord added, which can be removed. S I Z E: approx 6" high (including clasp) x 6" wide.
